2015 HCTA Officer and Board Election Results

Voting ended today at noon for the 2015 HCTA Officer and Board Elections. The committee reviewed the voting data this evening and certified the results. As noted below, 2 races were determined and following the procedures set forth in the Hillsborough CTA Bylaws there will be a run-off election for the District 4 Teacher Seat.

President
Jean Clements was elected with 69% of the votes cast in that race(1177 votes). Amy Gabriel received 31% of the votes (538 votes).

Teacher Director, Seat 2
Barbara Haggerty was elected with 85% of the votes cast in that race (1226 votes). Stephen Kemp received 15% of the votes (210 votes).

Teacher Director, Seat 4
There will be a run-off election between James Stewart, who received 49% of the votes cast in that race (726 votes) and Pearl Ershery, who received 42% of the votes (615 votes).  Vivian Rothstein received 9% (138 votes).

The run-off elections will take place after the March Representative Council. Voting will open on Monday, March 23, 2015 at noon and will close on April 1, 2015 at noon. Voting information will be sent to all members via email and school mail at least a week prior to the start of voting.

New officers and board members will be installed in June 2015.
